Judith's unique interpretation of arashi shibori, the Japanese dye

technique, begins with the working of intricate pleats into black

silk.   The pleated fabaric is secured to clear glass bottles with fine

thread.  The wrapped bottles are dipped into a bleaching solution,

which slowly removes (discharges) the black dye from the

surface of the bottle.
